Reasons To Consider Breathing Air Rental

by | Apr 26, 2017 | Industrial Goods and Services

Many industries require the use of breathing air. You may go into confined spaces or be in areas that could have debris and other things that you don’t want your employees to breathe into their lungs. A rental can make more sense than purchasing the equipment outright, but it’s imperative that you figure out if it’s right for your needs.

How Often?

The first step is to determine how often you will require such apparatuses. If you need them multiple times each month, it may be more suitable to purchase them. However, if you only need them a few times a year, breathing air rental may be easier for you.

Storage/Inventory

The next step is to find out if you have the space to store the apparatuses throughout the year. While you can rent a storage facility, it can cost more than it would to rent the equipment as you need it. Plus, you don’t have to worry about inventorying the items and maintaining them.

Maintenance can be an expensive thing that requires skilled employees to handle. Plus, you will need to check them at least once a month and ensure they’re in good condition when they’re needed. Repairs can also cause a problem and cost more money than you realize.

Upgrades

You should also factor in how frequently you will need to upgrade your equipment. Newer technology may make yours obsolete within a few short years. If you’re not prepared to buy new ones every so often, it may be best to rent it as needed.

Licensure/Taxes

You would have to contact your state boards to determine if licenses are required for these apparatuses, but you are responsible for paying any taxes and getting the licenses necessary, which isn’t required for renting.

Breathing air rental makes more sense for companies who don’t require these apparatuses frequently. Visit Code Red Safety for more information.
